Banishing The Winter Blues

Banishing winter blues

Finally we have started to see a little bit of sunshine this week and signs that spring is on the way, hooray! I always find January to be such a long and gloomy month. Although we have been getting out and about it always seems so much nicer when there is a bit of blue sky and I start look forward to going out for our walks. This Friday was a lovely day with a bit of sun and it felt marginally warmer so we didn’t need quite the same amount of layers and woollies  Lucas is now happy to walk round our park (although it doesn’t seem to tire him out) and I love getting us both out in the fresh air. I’ve felt a bit cooped up with the bad weather and I always feel happier when we’ve had a nice walk out. My Mother-in-Law goes for a walk every single day and she swears that it has kept her fit and healthy both physically and mentally. I am lucky to have a very happy little toddler anyway but he always seems in high spirits when we have been for a walk. I hope you have been enjoying the nicer weather; I cannot wait for spring to be well and truly upon us.

Hope you are getting a bit of sunshine wherever you are!

I agree, roll on Summer! It’s great to have a bit of sunshine although the weather doesn’t seem to stop our six from exploring our farm. Thanks for linking to Country Kids.

I bet there is so much to explore on your farm that they never want to stay indoors, I don’t blame them!

I know, I love to have days with no rain! The cold isn’t too bad but all the rain, urgh. I am having so much fun with him on our walks even if we do get mini tantrums all the way round when he wants to run off in the opposite direction! xx

I love that feeling that Spring is around the corner, it gives such hope doesn’t it after a grey month or so. Great photos of little man charging around, he’s going to love the Summer.

I want to take my son out to feed ducks, but there isn’t anywhere near us really. Need to find somewhere.
