Things To Do On Merseyside This Easter

We are on countdown to the school holidays this week and I can’t wait for two whole weeks without the school run! I know the holidays are a little different for everyone in the North West this year but I’ve put together a few ideas of what you can do with the kids while they’re off school. Hopefully we’ll get the good weather to go with it!

Easter Giant Duck Hunt – Martin Mere WWT 1st – 17th April

You’ll need to use all your special detective skills to track down giant yellow ducks and win a treat. Also look out for otter talks, pond dipping and other fun activities over Easter holidays. Normal admission applies (50p to enter trail).

Make A Bird Feeder – Rufford Old Hall 4th April 

Get out those green fingers and make your own bird feeder to take home. Normal Admission to the hall applies, free event.

The Storyhunters – Calderstones Park April/May

A brand-new adventure from The Storybarn. Part interactive theatre, part literature-based experience, your whole family will become Storyhunters as you set off on an indoor / outdoor storytelling adventure. £4 per ticket and booking in advance is recommended. 

Sleeping Beauty – Epstein Theatre 7th – 23rd April

Another spectacular panto production perfect for the whole family, Sleeping Beauty is a timeless classic that everyone will enjoy. Tickets From £16.50

Enchanted Speke – The Adventures of Robin Hood 8th-13th, 18th-23rd April

Join in the outdoor fun at Speke Hall with new spring activities for the adventures of Robin Hood. Normal admission to hall applies but the event is FREE.

Easter Events – Liverpool Museums 8th April – 22 April

Get creative and hands on with Easter activities for the whole family across the museums and galleries in Liverpool,  FREE.

Magical Musical Kingdoms – Liverpool Philharmonic 9th April

Join the Orchestra and court jester and explore the musical and magical kingdoms from Robin Hood, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Aladdin and many more. Glide through the beautiful Sleeping Beauty Waltz and end with an all-out party! Tickets from £8

St George’s Hall Minton Floor Reveal 13th-19th April

Visitors to St Georges Hall this April will get to see the spectacular Minton Tiles Floor unveiled in all it’s remarkable glory, £2.50 to enter the hall which is well worth a visit anyway. There will also be guided walk to floor talks each day at 10am and 4pm (£10 per person).

Imaginative Worlds – Tate Gallery 11-13th April, 17-18th April

Explore your creative side with these fun, hands-on workshops for families. Come along, dress-up and enter into an imaginative world, make your own puppets, masks and theatrical props. FREE

Cadbury Egg Hunt – 14th – 17 April, Speke Hall, Rufford Old Hall, Dunham Massey, Formby (15th April only)

Get outdoors this Easter and discover hidden mysteries on the Cadbury Egg Hunt and receive your delicious Cadbury chocolate treat reward. Taking place at participating National Trust properties explore the grounds on your egg hunt. Normal admission applies, £2 per child for the egg hunt.
