Three Day Weekends – I Love You

May 5, 2015

I do wish every weekend could be a bank holiday – having that extra day off just seems to make all the difference. The Sunday is so relaxing knowing that we have a whole extra day to spend together, a day when I don’t need to get the school bag packed or uniform ready. The Saturday I spent at Blog On MOSI; this was my second year attending and this time I really just enjoyed meeting up with lots of other bloggers. It was nice to spend a day talking blogging but really we talk about all sorts and I love catching up and getting inspiration from them all. I met so many lovely people it would be hard to name them all but everyone I spoke to was so friendly and I felt like I was greeting people as if we were old friends. Some ladies I have met before and others I met for the first time but spending the day in their company was an absolute pleasure. Somehow I still managed to come away missing a few people I wish I’d said hello to, it always seems to pass in such a blur I just don’t know where the day goes! I didn’t take many photos as I spent most of it chatting but here are a few:

Top Left – Had the lovely Katie for company on the drive  Top Right – with happy ladies Jenny and Jo, Bottom Right – so pleased to meet the fab Kerri-Ann, Bottom Left – Note taking and planning.

Sunday was spent recovering from a busy Saturday and my husband took Lucas out to Movies 4 Juniors. I was a little jealous as they went to see Big Hero 6 but they had such a fantastic morning together I could hardly complain! Lucas was quite pleased with his little Daddy date even though Daddy wasn’t too keen on having to sit two rows from the front in the cinema. Me and the husband then spent the evening watching Harry Potter and chatting. I love evenings when we both switch off from work and just spend some time together. I feel like we have really just enjoyed each other’s company this weekend and spent so much time laughing. It has made all the difference knowing we wouldn’t be rushing around come Monday morning.

With our last day we had a very lazy morning together and stayed in our pyjamas way too late. After lunch we had to get out and make the most of the sunshine so went to meet our friends at Calderstones Park. I know I talk a lot about this park but it just feels so special to us, we always have a lovely time there and I feel like it is our family’s happy place. They have our favourite, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream and it was the first time we’ve been this year that the ice cream hut was open. Lucas of course noticed straight away as he has been pestering for ice cream since January! Bear had his nap while we walked round but Mr Independent, Boo decided to walk himself with a complete refusal to hold anyone’s hand. It may be time to invest in reigns for these boys!

It turned into a gorgeous afternoon and the gardens are just coming into bloom so I was able to take a few photos. Lucas wasn’t in a particularly agreeable mood (despite the massive ice cream) and is a little under the weather so I had to sneak a couple of photos of him under the blossom. Oh how I wish every weekend could be this good!
