Living Arrows 16

We have so enjoyed the last week, our second week of the school holidays. I really do love having Lucas at home and I know that some people think I’m mad but I do feel sad when the time comes for him to go back to school. Even though it isn’t calm, or peaceful I like seeing all three of the boys together. The sound of squabbling is fairly frequent but always quickly forgotten, they can go from hysterical laughter to tears in a few seconds and then be back to laughter again. On the whole they have such fun together and the twins have been a little subdued today without their older brother to lead them astray.

On Sunday we woke up with the sun shining and decided to make the most of the last day of the holidays and headed out to Crosby Beach for the morning. It was a little chilly but it didn’t stop the three of them tearing round the sand and making a run for it towards the sea. They were all climbing up the steps but as the other two hopped down and ran off Bear refused to come down from them. He just stood up there grinning and me and jumping up and down. I love this photo of him, he isn’t usually quite as cheeky as his two brothers and it’s quite unusual for him to go off on his own and say no when he’s asked to follow us. However, on this picture the mischief is written all over his face! I couldn’t help but smile at him, hopping up and down and grinning, looking like he was king of the castle.

We came home with yet more stones and shells to add to our ever growing collection of beach ‘treasures’ and felt like we had blown the cobwebs away. It was a great way to round off the school holidays and the countdown is on to the next ones.

He looks like he’s debating his next move. Hope you’ve settled back into the school routine again. #livingarrows

This sounds like the perfect outing Hayley and how much am I loving his gorgeous lips? Beautiful. You are so right when you say that mischief is written all over his face. Your school holidays sounds wonderful and I hope I feel the same when it’s time for Win to head back to school over the holidays! xx #livingarrows

He is looking so grown up! I feel exactly the same as you about school – I long for the holidays to last as long as possible and am always sad when it’s time to go back to school x

He certainly looks like he was enjoying being in charge for a while. What is it about boys collecting stones wherever they go? We’ve got an ever growing pile accumulating on our mantlepiece! #LivingArrows

I love that you love having Lucas at home. I’m just like that. I hate sending Z to school and wish I could just keep him just a few more days. It sounds like you had a great time at Crosby Beach and that Bear looks so cute with his cheeky grin 🙂
