Living Arrows 17

This little one has turned into a Daddy’s boy overnight, all of a sudden he wants to be just like his Daddy. This weekend it was all about being with Daddy. He wanted to help him in the garden and eagerly ran outside to assist with the car washing, he asks for him when he wakes up and wants him to read his bedtime stories. It wasn’t that long ago that he would cry for me when my husband put him to bed so this is actually such a lovely thing for me to see. They’ve always been close but it seems that the last few days he has really craved that time together. For the first time ever he really missed him when he went back to work after the holidays, he turns to me and says ‘I love Daddy’ even when he isn’t around.

He was so excited to be out with him cleaning the car and sang little songs the whole time he was out there. I’m not sure the car was much cleaner but it was such a sweet thing to watch.

Its soon cute to watch isn’t it? We have this right now too. Z polished all of his Dad’s car yesterday and loves going to the garage with him. I’m secretly pleased he prefers my storytime reading though 😉

Well Lucas has already swung back to wanting me to read bedtime stories, but this little helping out with Daddy thing is super cute!

I wish we had a driveway so that the kids could wash the car. It’s such a great childhood thing to do on a weekend and I have great memories of washing the car with my Dad. Gorgeous photo x
