Living Arrows 2

This last week has been a funny one, it’s taken me such a long time to adjust back into our normal routine after the Christmas holidays. I’ve been feeling super tired but not sleeping very well which isn’t like me but at the moment as soon as I turn the lights off my head starts whirring with all sorts of things. Last night in the end I had to turn on the light and write some things down which seemed to work.  After getting started back into the school routine on Monday Lucas was then ill on Wednesday so we were stuck in the rest of the week.

January is such a tough month as you go into all ready for the new year with new ideas and feeling ready to start afresh but then it can be such a miserable month it drags you down a little. I think we have all been lacking in energy and I know everyone is feeling pretty similar, like a Christmas hangover. After indulging in plenty of food and drink I’m determined this to get back to a better diet this week hoping that I start to get some energy back and feel back to normal.

After a pretty tiring week I wasn’t holding out much hope for the weekend but it actually turned out lovely. A bit of sun and time spent outdoors can work wonders. We’d been cooped up far to long so when there was a dry patch on Saturday morning me and the boys went and met some friends at the park so Daddy could get on with some work. I’m getting brave now and didn’t take the pushchair, it’s so nice to be able to leave it behind but I still get moments of panic when they all go in different directions and I don’t know who to chase first. For the most part the twins come back when called and Lucas is old enough to be trusted. I try to keep my cool when I’m out with all three of them but inside I feel like a frenzied woman waiting for it all to go wrong!

I took this week’s Living Arrows photo of Boo when I was actually calling him to come off the muddy grass and he was shouting back, ‘no,no,no’ and stamping his little feet. As you can see, not doing what I say is obviously the most fun. He did come off eventually but then him and Bear spent the rest of the time running through the puddles. They were having so much fun I didn’t want to stop them even though they were soaked. My mum met us up at the park and we went back to her house for lunch, stripping off their wet trousers, socks and boots. Love these cheeky adventurers of mine.

They are looking so grown up Hayley! And I love this one with the sunshine in the background, it’s gorgeous! And I am struggling to get back into routine as well. I just feel permanently lazy. x

Thank you Katie, I’m feeling pretty lazy too, so sluggish this time of year, I already can’t wait for spring! xx

I am so tired this month so far and that’s why it’s taking me so long to get back into the swing of it. Waking up for work or the school run is pure hell!! Lovely photo – the light is just gorgeous x
