Living Arrows 32

My Living Arrows photo this week is one of Lucas from our day out at Dunham Massey. We’ve been busy this last week going out and about on lots of adventures, some days he has been so much fun and others, like this day, he has been a little grump. Everything we tried to do was the wrong thing; whichever way we chose to walk or what we pointed at to see or play on, it was all met with a ‘No’ and a pouting lip. Finally, the only way to help was to feed him so we sat on a log for a snack in the hopes of raising a smile…or maybe not.

Still, I like this photo, I like the quizzical expression and gingerbread man crumbs round his mouth. He looks young and old all at the same time; the boy on the cusp of becoming a four year old and starting school, hair in need of a trim and a coat becoming that bit too short in the sleeves. I don’t get many photographs of him close up at the moment because he’s always running away from the camera so this expression is about the best I can hope for. I still love it, it is entirely Lucas.

Sometimes it’s so cute and funny when they’re being little grumps. Z folds his arms and scowls like a judgmental teen 🙂 lovely pic!

I love how fitting this photo sounds. I also love his messy, slightly too long summer hair that’s slightly lightened by the sun. He’s a gorgeous boy! x

You’re absolutely right … it really is a mix of young/old. He looks like he’s really pondering something very serious indeed and yet his little face with those gingerbread crumbs? So cute! You can almost see how he’s going to look when he’s older.

I just love his long (ish) hair, if I had a little boy I would have it that kind of style too- I think it’s so cute. And the dinosaur jacket is just too sweet! x
