Living Arrows 41

This weekend we headed over to my Auntie’s to celebrate a couple of family birthdays, the boys always love a good family get together. They are at a good age now as we can relax a little and don’t have to watch them every minute. We don’t have to bring a whole load of baby paraphernalia with us either – I love being able to pack a little change bag and that’s it! They can get about independently, graze on whatever food is given to them and as they are always together they can make their own fun. They never seem to get bored and my Auntie gets out a wooden train track she has kept from when her boys were little. They entertain themselves quite happily either playing trains or chasing each other round the garden.  Or course when there is an abundance of sausage rolls and birthday cake it does help to keep them sweet.

I took a few photos of all of them playing outside but this one is my favourite. They would run round and round the patio table stopping every now and again to sit down in a line of the step. I had hoped I might get all three of them together but, let’s face it, that was never going to happen. You have to be quick to catch them and while Lucas and Bear will generally pose for a few seconds as soon as Boo sees my phone out he makes a beeline for it to try and see himself on the screen. I always have to be quite sneaky if I’m going to catch a photo of him.

Lucas and Bear are so alike in so many ways except were Lucas is fiery, Bear is laid back. That seems to work perfectly for their sibling relationship and they are very close. Whatever Lucas is doing Bear will be sure to try, he is his little shadow and will always try and get involved and copy him. I think Lucas knows he can get away with being a little more bossy to Bear and he’ll put up with it when Boo won’t. Quite often we will find them sat together, Bear just happy to be next to Lucas pretending to join in and Lucas tolerating the intrusion to his game. That is exactly what they were doing in this photo, Bear sat right up next to Lucas, trying to be just like his big brother and Lucas reached over to give him a hug. I hope they always stay so close.

Aww they are so flippin’ cute together. 🙂

We’re just starting to get to the stage where we can go out of the house without carrying a tonne of stuff with us and I must say, it is good!! 🙂

It’s a shame that you didn’t manage the 3 together, but this is a lovely photo all the same. x
