This week has been all about the snow, even if it didn’t stick around for long. The flurries started to come down on Thursday morning and totally fascinated the boys who watched out of the patio doors. It came down so quick then stopped for the afternoon so didn’t last that long. Unfortunately I can’t get them all outside in it; I don’t even have snowsuits for the twins but once they were napping me and Lucas had a quick run round the garden! We had the car that day to get to school but we walked on Friday. A lot of it had melted away but Lucas still found patched to go and stamp in with his wellies on.

There was always something so magical and exciting about snow as a child; I love that we live in a country with such distinct seasons (even if I am a bit fed up of the cold now) as we get to see so many changes in the weather. When we walk to school I point things out to Lucas to show him spring is on the way, this week we could see some daffodils sprouting through the snow. This is a great age when he takes it all in, something new to learn about his world and so much fun to watch.

I love that they are all together on this photo and the way the twins’ hands are up on the window trying to touch the snow. They kept coming back and having a look outside; it isn’t their first snowfall as there was snow on the ground on their birthday but that came overnight so this is the first time they have seen snowflakes falling. I’m so glad that we have this moment captured.

They all look so cute looking out the window. We didn’t play in it much this year but we’ve had a massive amount of it. I’m secretly glad it’s now gone 🙂

This is such a lovely photo. I’ve been thinking about the seasons recently too. When I was younger I always thought the seasons barely changed here, but they do. I can’t wait for the sun to return now though x

That is such a cute photo. Snow is so fascinating but I suppose we so so little of it, it would be. We haven’t had any yet which is a real shame as my kids are desperate to get some

Snow is one of the most exciting things of childhood and although our came and went within 15 minutes the children were in awe of it. Beautiful photo, you can see their wonder x

What a beautiful photo! It’s such a lovely moment, perfectly captured. I love that they’re looking at the snow like it’s the first time even though they’ve seen it before.

I can’t believe how often I’ve heard the word ‘snow’ across all media these past couple of weeks but oh how it makes for some magical shots like this one! xx
