Me & Mine {May}

Me and Mine May

This month has been so busy and has just flown by, I thought we would have plenty of opportunity to take our Me & Mine this last week as it was half term but we still left it till the last minute. Thankfully we went to Delamere Forest on Thursday and took my good friend with us who snapped a few photos. I also invested in the Joby Gorillapod after seeing Kerri-Ann’s lovely family portraits and I know how much she loves her little tripod. As we still take the buggy pretty much everywhere we were able to wrap it round the handlebar and take the photo with the Gruffalo, as you can see the children were less than pleased about it; note to self, always make sure they are well fed before attempting the family photo! My lovely friend is just like a part of our family so it seemed right to include her in Me & Mine.

We had such a fantastic day out there and it was really just what we needed, a little time in the great outdoors. Our days out aren’t perfect, they can be a little chaotic and I have a strong-willed three year old always wanting to do exactly what HE wants to do. Having said all that we laughed, a lot! That is part of what made it such a great day, just being with the people I love and remembering how much fun we have together. It’s been a tough month and I really enjoy having my husband home in the school holidays, I love the family time and the chance to catch up with friends. I love to take the boys somewhere new and give them a little adventure. I love treating the boys to cake or ice cream and seeing their faces light up. I love how happy the littlest of things make them, it really is the simplest of things that can make our family time extra special.

Finally, I am loving taking part in Me & Mine, it is never easy but it is so worth it. I’m learning more and more about how to get a better photo as we go along and I’m constantly inspired by seeing everyone else’s. My husband is getting more on board each month and even reminds me now when we have to do one. The best bit will be looking back on twelve months worth of portraits, I cant wait!

    Ahh bless them, I have many photos which are similar! Now I always carry chocolate buttons in my bag when I have a Me & Mine shot in mind to bribe the kids with. Doesn’t always work though. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely month; hope June is just as great x

      Oh I know, it’s ridiculous isn’t it? My poor husband, I think he wishes he could see some of him in them! They are really the image of my brother when he was younger, it’s spooky xx

    I love looking back on our pictures and however much H fake grumbles about having the pictures taken I know he likes that we have them too. Our first Me and Mine pics are on our bedroom wall and it’s amazing to see how much has changed in such little time!

    Aww, I love Delamere Forest. It’s the nicest place. I have a strong-willed one too. I sometimes feel sorry for my littlest because he just gets dragged along. It’ll be all change come September though. I’m dreading J being at school full-time but love the idea of spending more time with M.
