Me & Mine November

Me Mine Nov

I have cheated a little on this month’s Me and Mine photos as these family photographs were actually taken at the very end of October but weren’t ready for last months post and I really wanted to share them on my blog. We were lucky enough to win an Autumn family photo shoot with the wonderful NC Hopes Photography and I am so thrilled with the final photographs that I really wanted them to be a part of our Me & Mine collection. Having some proper photographs taken of us is something I have wanted to do for so long but I knew I always wanted them to be natural, outdoors pictures so I would have to wait until the boys were old enough to be let loose! Winning the competition gave us the perfect excuse to get out there and try it and the moments they captured really are so special I know we will want do more in the future.

I must admit I was a little nervous as I am so used to be being behind the camera but I needn’t have worried. We met up with Nikki and Chris at Lyme Park on a lovely Autumn day and they had found a beautiful spot for us to have some photos taken. My boys never sit still but they were so good with them, they have a boy themselves so I knew they wouldn’t be put off by my three being always on the go. They encouraged them to run round, chasing the leaves and all the while snapping some perfect natural shots. Their style of photography is just what I would have looked for had I been choosing a shoot myself and I have been so spoilt for choice when trying to whittle down my favourites. I’m sharing the two family portraits I picked a few more that I just fell in love with…several will be making their way under the Christmas tree for family gifts. As that was always in the back of my mind I chose the ones that I knew Nanny’s and Grandmas would love but there were some beautiful natural shots that I really adored; you can see a few more from the day on NC Hope Photography blog. The whole service was fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone, in fact I hope we can book them for another shoot next year!

Other than that, this month has just flown by; we’ve been busy but stuck in quite a bit. I think our last walk out was several weeks ago now when we went to Calderstones Park but since then the weather has kept us stuck indoors. Lucas has had a bit of a wobble in school and was getting upset going in but thankfully that phase seems to have passed as quickly as it came. It was hardly surprising considering how much has been going on over the last few months but it’s nice to see him going into school happy again.

Looking into December, nearly every weekend now seems to be booked up. On top of that there are school plays and Christmas fayres, so much going on and I am trying my best to stay organised; I know Christmas will be here before we know it and then a couple of days later my littlest boys turn two! It seems that Autumn has well and truly passed now, our walk to school is filled with puddles and bare trees. I really do miss it when it’s gone so I’m glad we got these photos done at my favourite time of year.

Hayley these are just gorgeous, the boys are adorable. I know I say it every month but those eyes are just so beautiful. Poor Lucas I am glad he has settled a bit, Do you think the half term break caused it? It so often doe cause a bit of upset, glad he is back on track again x

    Oh that last photo. ❤❤❤

Hayley, these photos are utterly stunning and I’m so pleased that you won such a fab opportunity for your family. This is exactly the kind of style I’d like if I ever booked a family photoshoot too – I much prefer outdoorsy, natural shots to studio ones.

You are such a beautiful family. xxx

Oh what utterly GORGEOUS pictures! I hope that you’re going to frame the lot of them, and keep that one of you and your husband somewhere prominent because it’s just stunning.

These are SO beautiful Hayley! You must be absolutely thrilled to bits with them! I’d love a proper photographer to come and take pics of us one day — a selfie stick doesn’t quite give you the same effect!! Love the one of you both at the end — just beautiful. Bless Lucas and his wobble… I must say I’m not surprised — even the most stoic little ones must feel a bit overwhelmed when they start school. Amazing that the twinks are soon turning two. WHERE is the time going?! xx #MeandMine
