Boys Spring Style With Coliseum Shopping Park

March 29, 2017

We had some of the nicest Spring weather in the North West last weekend, although it’s been slowly warming up over this month I was just waiting for the day when we could leave the coats and layers at home. A few weeks ago I visited the Coliseum Shopping Park and bought a few clothes for the boys when the warmer weather arrived. I’m so happy the sun has shone and I’m able to share what I picked.

I absolutely love updating the boys wardrobes at this time of year but I must admit buying for three children can be a little daunting! Lucas is five now and has started to have an opinion on what he is wearing. The twins are happy with most clothes but even though I never intended to dress them alike it seems easier these days so they don’t argue over who gets what.

Still, it’s nice to browse the shops, see all the bright colours and short sleeves, and imagine all those summer days spent outdoors. I love that the Coliseum has so much in one place, it makes it easier to get a few things in one go and get ideas for the summer too. The Mini Club section in Boots was full of gorgeous tropical colours and I was really impressed with the boys range. I was also surprised to see a kids section in River Island and Debenhams also has an amazing children’s clothes department.

For the twins I ended up in one of my all time favourites for boys clothes, H&M. I always love the clothes in there; shopping for boys isn’t always easy as there isn’t as much variation as with girls but H&M tend to be a little different and quirky. The twins were with me when was browsing and chose these cute robot t-shirts and green chino trousers. The t-shirts were only £2.99 each which is such amazing value, I stock up on loads of these when it gets warm as we don’t half go through them. The chinos are great for summer, lightweight and come in a few different colours – I’ll be stocking up on these too.

I wasn’t planning on buying anything for Lucas as I like to have him with me now when I’m picking clothes for him however, when I walked past this Star Wars jumper I couldn’t leave it! He is Star Wars mad and he had an own clothes day coming up. I knew I couldn’t go wrong with this and it’s not too thick so will be great for Spring. He was so thrilled to wear this to school and show it off and I kind of wish they did this one in my size.

I also bought the twins each a cool straw sun hat from Boots and some new summer trainers from Next. I think I buy a new straw sun hat for the boys every year, they never go out of style and they love wearing them. These Mini Club ones feel nice and light but still shade their heads from the sun. I was so pleased with the trainers from Next at just £14.99, they have a few different colours but I bought two the same in the end to stop the squabbles!

I wasn’t actually too sure if we’d get the weather to match their new clothes but luckily for us it was a beautiful weekend. It felt amazing to get out and feel the sun on our faces and the twins were happy to finally get to wear their spring clothes. Hope you’re looking forward to getting the spring clothes out too, hopefully there will be more days like this to look forward to.

This post was written as part of my role as an ambassador for the Coliseum Shopping Park. Everything chosen has been handpicked by myself and as always, all words and thoughts are my own.

Your boys look lovely in the boys you’ve picked out for them. I’m the same for boys clothes, H&M is always my go to for reasonably priced cool clothes. I find a lot of other places stock quite a boring range for boys x x x

I love H&M for kids clothes, and I would never think to look in River Island. I always think it’s for trendy teens and not for younger kids (nor women in their forties cough). We were so lucky in the North West with the weather last weekend, which obviously makes a huge but nice change. They look super cute in their new outfits x
