An Imperfect Day

April 30, 2013

Some days are tough; my toddler is teething and trying to exert his independence all in the same week. He ran riot and playgroup and ran rings round me at home. He threw himself on the floor when I said no and constantly tried to escape my grasp to get to places he shouldn’t be. He tried to go without his afternoon nap eventually succumbing only to wake up rebellious once more. He cried real tears and crocodile tears.

Some days are exhausting from start to finish.

Some days I feel like I’m doing everything wrong.

Some days aren’t perfect but even a day like today can end with a perfect moment.

 Perfect Imperfection
There is a boy who stole my heart.

awww and what a gorgeous smile that is.
As I was reading this I was nodding my head in agreement with what you have written. I find most days very trying (today was an example near the end) but as you say, a smile, giggle or cuddle from them makes you forget all that and reminds you how wonderful motherhood is x

Aw this is beautiful Hayley, and I totally agree with everything you are saying- even on the toughest days you can have a little moment that makes it 100% worthwhile. x
