It’s taken eight weeks for me to brave the weather with three little ones on a solo walking trip but this week we made it out up to our local park. It must have taken close to half an hour to get us all ready but the weather was too nice to pass up the chance. Lucas is refusing to go on the buggy board so he’s having to get used to some long walks, I wonder how far we will have to go before he finally gives up and hops on. The twins were all wrapped up Lucas had rather independently put his hat on back to front and his gloves on the wrong hands and we remembered a little bag of monkey nuts to tempt the squirrels, one little chap was very friendly until Lucas starting squealing and running after him in delight. We had a quick play at the playground but it was getting cold so Lucas was happy to head home were we both had some warm blackcurrant juice and unwrapped two very cosy babies.
Despite the effort needed to actually make it out the front door I really did feel better for the fresh air and seeing Lucas back where he loves to go exploring always makes me smile. He often goes for walks with my mum but I’ve missed seeing my little adventurer out in the wide world and it’s lovely to get a little bit of that time back. It will just be that little bit easier when spring is truly with us and we don’t need quite so many layers!

Not an easy feat getting out of the house with three little ones! As you said though – worth the effort. Lovely photos of Lucas having a great time burning off some energy and enjoying himself. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
