Not the best start to the year with Me & Mine with this photo kind of sums up our January. Busy, busy twins who won’t stay still, a grouchy Lucas (who is picking his nose) and a lot of days stuck indoors because it was too cold to venture out. January is a long month and I do well at this time of year but February is on the way and it will soon be spring! I had been holding off doing this photo all month waiting for a time when we were illness free and could get outside without Lucas complaining of the cold. We had another failed attempt in the house so this was just a quick snap taken by my mum.
This month there has been a lot of indoor days with den building and we’ve back into the pre-school routine with Lucas. I even started taking the boys to a playgroup which is something I never thought I’d be brave enough to do with three. Lucas has started swimming lessons; they are a challenge for him seen as he isn’t a water baby but he is starting to improve. I’ve enjoyed fitting in more time for reading and my husband has enjoyed growing his beard! The twins are so nearly ready to walk and they are mostly having fun playing with all the things in the house they shouldn’t. We are all looking forward to planning some adventures when half term rolls round.
So this Me and Mine may not be a good photo, I hadn’t planned it or prepared but it is real and it is us and this is what most of our days are like. I would still love to get one outdoors next month but for now this we will have to make the best of this ordinary one. All that really matters is we have a photo of the five of us and this one really is a moment in time!

February 1, 2015 at 2:13 pmIt’s so nice that the cold outside keeps us all together playing inside butttt enough is enough! I MISS OUTSIDE! A nose picking photo is better than no photo!
February 1, 2015 at 5:28 pmIts a super cute picture. You and the Mr look so happy and content. We had a bit of an epic fail for our picture too. Here’s to next month! x
February 1, 2015 at 6:51 pmI love that you have captured the real life, it can be so tempting to only ‘count’ the photos where everyone is happy and smiling (and not picking their nose). I love having the odd photo that just captures the moment, better than no photo at all x
February 2, 2015 at 12:21 amGorgeous photo! I bet getting all of you in one photo is not easy! Glad to see February myself and looking forward to good things! 🙂 Jess x
February 2, 2015 at 8:36 amit’s a lovely photo, as you say it’s what real life looks like and that to me has always been the point of these photos – if I wanted perfect smiley faces I’d need a lot more bribery and corruption!
February 2, 2015 at 1:46 pmOh I have felt the same this month staying in doors and hyper children running ragged because we all have cabin fever. Bless still a great memory and a family capture. Many of mine last year were the same. lol. Look forward to next months. #meandmine
February 2, 2015 at 7:20 pmJanuary is a long month! Even though we went on holiday which was lovely I am quite happy to see the back of it. Roll on Spring! The littlest boys look so big in this photo! x
