Please read my first A Little Bit Lately post to find out what these are all about, although I’m sure you get the idea. These have been inspired by Sometimes Sweet’s Currently posts so check her out if you like it!
Reading
I just can’t get into reading books at the moment, I’ve given up for a few weeks as my concentration just isn’t there. Luckily I am going to be working with magazine.co.uk and I’m very excited to be trying our their magazine subscription service; more on that when they arrive but I am so looking forward to having some new reading material. Magazines are such a great source of inspiration and I love to have a quick flick through them when I have a few minutes spare so I will be sharing more with you soon.
Watching
After finishing Game of Thrones we were at a bit of a loss (I’m still angry about it if I’m honest) so we started something new. Orange Is The New Black has been top of my to watch list for a while now and I’m so glad we finally started it, I just love it! It is so easy to watch and some of it makes me laugh out loud, we are part way through season 2 and nearly every night we watch a couple of episodes. I’m also watching The Affair, my husband isn’t interested so I watch that one on my own and I am really hooked now. I wasn’t sure at first, I wouldn’t say it was easy to get into but it keeps you guessing. Also, it is so lovely to see Pacey Witter back on my screen, that crush just doesn’t go away and it is worth watching for that alone!
Listening To
Last month I wrote about how I was struggling to get into any music at the moment and the lovely Rachel recommended using iPlayer to listen to my favourite Radio shows. This has been perfect as I can just pick and choose what I want to hear and I’ve been able to watch loads of festival highlights and have it on the background while I’m in the house. I think I’ve worked my way through most of the R1 live lounges now; I used to listen to them in work which just seems like a lifetime ago so I’m rediscovering my love for it all.
Loving
I am all about fruit teas this month, well tea in general really but Raspberry & Peach is one of my favourites. I also found an amazing Cardamon tea in Aldi and I can’t stop drinking it, it tastes so good! I am totally in love with the Origins Ginzing moisturiser this month as well, it smells incredible and although it feels quite light it does a fantastic job of hydrating my skin. Every morning it makes me feel happy, the orangery scent always cheers me up. Also loving seeing the flowers blooming in the garden and watching the twins master the slide and giggling at each other going down it. I love being able to have picnics in the garden and as soon as they are dressed the boys stand by the door waiting to go out exploring.
Thinking About
How much I am loving July, I’m not really a summer kind of girl but it is my birthday next week and then the start of the summer holidays so lots to look forward to. The nice weather really does lift my mood, something about the light sunny nights make you want to sit outside, with a glass of wine and plan grand adventures. I have so many things I want to do, they whizz round my head all the time. I am guilty of being a daydreamer and I plan so much, even things I know we could only achieve with a lottery win! Sometimes the planning in the most fun but I still am hoping for a few real adventures in the summer holidays. I have promised Lucas a trip to ‘the beachside’ so that is first on the list, after that we’ll just see what happens!
Some bits of life lately over on my Instagram.

July 10, 2015 at 1:59 pmPacey!! I loved Dawsons Creek. It was one of my favourite shows and I still have a thing for American high school series! x
July 9, 2015 at 9:42 pmMe too, I will still watch it now, I just love it and my love for Joshua Jackson ahs stood the test of time 🙂 xx
July 10, 2015 at 2:00 pmI keep meaning to listen to the Radio 1 Live Lounge Sessions – I like to listen to the radio whilst I make badges. I have completely failed at reading this year, Im a little disappointed but Im going to make a fresh start & try to finish at least 3 books by the end of the year
July 10, 2015 at 8:08 amI started so well and have completely come to a stand still now, I guess you can’t force it but it is relaxing when you get into it!
July 10, 2015 at 2:01 pmYay for sunny days and July. I’m so jealous of your summer together. I loved Dawsons Creek. This format is just like Morgana’s #LittleLoves honey. You should take a look. Really sweet little link up. Ooh a magazine subscription sounds exciting. x
July 10, 2015 at 12:50 pmOh I know, I love Morgana’s #littleloves! It is really cool but I don’t think I’d manage it once a week at the moment, maybe when Lucas starts school. I only do this when I feel like it, I love reading peoples posts through Morgana’s link up though, always so good! xx
July 10, 2015 at 2:05 pmI’m dying to know what magazines you’ve selected. Tell me, tell me!! Have I mentioned Parks and Recreation to you before? We’ve just watched the whole series and it was fab. Or if you’d like something more action-packed like Game of Thrones, then Vikings is awesome. Glad you liked the iPlayer suggestion. I love have music on even though Paul would far prefer the TV instead.
July 10, 2015 at 11:15 pmI loved OITNB! I watched the first season when Jasmine was a newborn (and still slept lots) I got part way through the second series and stopped watching purely because I couldn’t find the time to watch anything on Netflix so I cancelled my subscription. Sad times.
Can’t wait to hear about which magazines you’ve chosen – I am mega jealous. 🙂 xx
