Lucas had a bit of a rough spell before Christmas, he wasn’t his usual self, always a little under the weather and his behaviour was becoming increasingly challenging. He was tired as the end of term was approaching and we had some really tough days. days where I felt like we’d never get this carefree smile again. However, the Christmas break has done him the world of good and we have a happy little chap back. He loves to have us all home and thrives with family time; I love his smile on this photo.
This last week the weather was so cold we didn’t get out very much apart from one very swift visit to the park. In fact a couple of minutes after this photograph was taken Lucas started complaining of the cold so we make our way home and watched a DVD with hot chocolate to warm up. It was worth going out in the frost just for that!
Living Arrows is now being hosted on the lovely Shutterflies blog so please pop over and have a look, so many beautiful photographs on there each week and I’m looking forward to joining in for the year.

January 7, 2015 at 9:30 amWe have stayed in pretty much constantly over the last couple of weeks, we really should venture out more but it’s just too cold! x
January 5, 2015 at 11:45 pmI know we have too but I start to feel like we are stuck indoors. I love for them to get fresh air but some days it is just too cold! xx
January 7, 2015 at 9:30 amI love winter and getting the littles all wrapped up to play outside. Lovely pic x

January 6, 2015 at 8:02 amThank you, it’s rare for me to get a photo of him with a natural smile so I do like this one!
January 7, 2015 at 9:31 amGlad he’s happy again! We love the whole having to warm up after a trip out in the cold, hot chocolates with lots of squirty cream! 😀
January 6, 2015 at 10:07 amYes! The hot chocolate is definitely the best bit of the whole thing! Lucas is more interested in marshmallows though if I’m honest 🙂
January 7, 2015 at 9:32 amI’m glad that things got better. It’s so sad when their personality changes because of being away from that family unit. I think they get so tired and disconnected from it all.
January 6, 2015 at 10:24 amHe looks so cute x
That’s exactly in Lauren, I constantly wonder if I should have sent him so soon because he is an august baby but he does seem to love it. I just miss having him home! xx
January 7, 2015 at 9:33 amAww definitely worth the quick nip out for this snap. He looks very cute with his little red nose. Glad to hear he’s doing much better for the winter break 🙂 Happy New Year to you all
January 6, 2015 at 9:24 pmHaha, I know cute little red nose! Happy New Year!
January 7, 2015 at 9:34 amAw, hope he was well enough for Christmas 🙂 Lovely photo and great to see you again on Living Arrows this year 🙂 xx
January 7, 2015 at 10:13 pmDylan was exactly the same after his first time at preschool – over tired and not the nicest child. It is so nice having my lovely big boy back again after the break
January 7, 2015 at 10:21 pmOh I’m glad it isn’t just Lucas, it’s hard isn’t it because they do love to go but it really does take it out of them by the end of term. I’m hoping it gets better as the year goes on. Glad Dylan enjoyed his break too xx
January 8, 2015 at 9:19 amAh, you know how I love seeing photos of your gorgeous boys! I think last half term was soooo long, so many of my friends were saying their kids were exhausted and mine were too. I bet after that it was lovely to have some quiet family time and he looks like he’s back on form! So happy you are joining in with Living Arrows again x
