Living Arrows 38

I didn’t actually take many photos at all this week which is unusual for me. I’m still getting into our new routine; I thought I would have so much time now Lucas is in for a full day but it actually flies by. I still can’t quite get my head around the fact that this is the norm now, days with the twins and a few hours either side with Lucas. At the end of the weekend I wish I could have just another day with him at home, I don’t ever feel like it is enough time, will it always feel that way? But still, my days are full of fun, giggles and a few sqabbles from the littlest two.

My photo for Living Arrows this week sums up a lot of my days, at home with the twins and playing trains. It’s a grainy one taken on my phone over the sofa but it captures them perfectly right now. We first bought the wooden train set for Lucas’ second Christmas and we add to it every year. The twins are at just the right age now to play with it without too much destruction but they are happy just to take bits and bobs out of the box, lie on the floor and run the trains over the carpet. It doesn’t matter how many toys surround them they will always pick the trains and cars. I took them to playgroup last week, the same one I used to go to with Lucas; they made a beeline for the cars and didn’t move from that spot.

I love that they lie down to play, Bear has done it since he was little to watch the wheels moving and now Boo joins him. It is sweet to watch and they were quiet for so long, usually I have to break up little squabbles over who has the Thomas Train but on this day they were quite content to play and watch each other. As it gets colder and wetter we will be spending more of our days like this, and I’m quite happy with that.

Isn’t it funny that so many boys just naturally love anything with wheels? It’s a good job we have SO many of them 🙂 xx

We’ve had a similar weekend of playing with cars and trains. So nice to watch them play and make up little stories with their toys #LivingArrows

N also lies down to play as well. We love wooden railways, although he’s not played with his for so long

Oh I love this photo, Hayley.

I bet they keep you super busy when Lucas is at school. 🙂

Don’t worry, it’ll be half term before you know it.

    xx

Aww that’s such a sweet shot and so lovely to catch them playing together. We have H’s childhood Brio trains that we’ve added bits too – including an actual Thomas brio train for Pip’s birthday from Grandpa – I had no idea you could get them and Pip adores it!

My auntie has so much old Thomas brio stuff stashed at her house so the boys go mad when we go there, they love it. I like having toys that can be passed down too!

Such a cute photo Hayley, so lovely to see them playing with their little trains together. Charlie went through a serious wooden train phase, it had to come with us whenever we went anywhere! xx
