I think I might have to do another post with a few photos of our walk yesterday as there are some lovely photos. This is probably my favourite though so I thought it would be perfect for Living Arrow this week. The weather is definitely turning but the plus side of that is the Autumn colours really do look amazing, there are so many beautiful leaves on the ground and falling from the trees. As we walked they actually floated past us as they fell from the branches, the twins were delighted when a leave suddenly landed on their knees.

We went to Calderstones Park in Liverpool yesterday and we are braving letting the twins out of the pushchair now. They are actually much better than Lucas was at this age, he was a runner and as soon as he was loose he’d be gone, he was always surprisingly fast as well! As soon as we lift the twins out they put their hand up to hold yours and even when they go off for an explore they always look back to check where we are. It makes it so much easier when we are out as I know they aren’t likely to run off anywhere without me…the same can still not be said for Lucas.

This photo is of Bear with Lucas and Boo in the background. They had all just discovered that there was lots of little gravel stones covering the paths, hiding underneath the leaves. They kept collecting handfuls of them and bringing them to us to hold in our hands while they went off for more. It still amazes me the way that they can make fun out of nothing. Lucas was always like that even when he was on his own and now there are three little boys to run round outdoors they never seem to get bored. I know one day this age will come to an end, I’ll have to drag them all out for a walk, that’s why I still write about and take photos of our simple days out. At this age it is still a fantastic adventure and even collecting handfuls of stones can produce a wonderful smile like this.

Ah yes, the joys of gravel under leaves! Oh one day we’re going to look back at all of this and wonder when they stopped loving gravel. Such a cute picture too, there’s just so much happiness in it 🙂
