This is a bit of a hastily put together Me & Mine this month. I was casually looking through twitter this morning when I saw the posts popping up on my timeline and had to check the calender. In my head I had a few more days until the start of October, where has this month gone? Luckily while we were away at the weekend I asked my mum to take a few photos of us on the beach so I have actually got some family portraits ready. I think they might be some of the first ones we have got in such beautiful sunshine too, despite it being Autumn.
I’ve already wrote about our trip to the beach this week as we have just got back from a weekend away in a caravan. I’m working on a little video and blog post to go with it which I will be sharing later in the week. September has been such a busy month that we were really ready for a break. It’s been the start of a new routine, my husband being back in work after the long summer off, Lucas starting school and me and the twins have been finding new things to do on our days together. I think on the whole we have all transitioned quite smoothly, although I still can’t quite get used to how little I see of Lucas each day he is absolutely loving school so can’t really complain.
It’s funny that September has gone so quickly and yet I don’t feel like we have done that much, looking back over my posts it has been a quiet month and a lot of our weekends have been spent close to home, going for little walks and having cosy days in. Lucas is tired when he has done a full week in school so we’ve enjoyed just spending the weekends together, taking it easy.
As you can see from the photos, it was hard to gather everyone together one the beach. The boys were so excited they just wanted to run everywhere, I will never forget watching them leg it towards the sea. They aren’t perfect but they might be my favourites as they will always hold such happy memories, this was our first holiday away as a family of five…and we survived! A day at the beach is always a day well spent.
