Living Arrows 19/52

Such a blurry photo this week as it was taken out in very, very heavy rain on my iPhone but I just love it. On Friday I went to collect Lucas from pre-school in drizzly rain, sometimes Grandparents can collect him when it is raining but I wanted to get out the house and it wasn’t too cold. The walk there was ok but by the time we were coming home it was bucketing it down! Lucas just loved it and ran the whole way, splashing through puddles and giggling. As we were on our way home he could get as wet as he liked so I didn’t stop him as he leaped into the biggest puddles in only his trainers. As soon as we stepped in the front door I had to strip him off, wrapped him up in pyjamas and made him a warm juice.

I remember that the rain very rarely bothered me as a child, you can dance and splash in it knowing that at some point someone will bundle you in the house, put some warm clothes on you and snuggle on the sofa. He was so full of energy and smiles I had to stop and get a photo of him, I like people who smile when it’s raining.

Love this Hayley, kids and puddles is the best fun. I was the same with the weather when I was small, loved running out in it! X

Thank you, he is outgrowing the raincoat a little but I do love it so don’t want to give it up quite yet!
