This time last year, our last Christmas, we were gearing up to Christmas with a 3 month old and it was exhausting! We lived further away from family so we stayed with my Mum over Christmas; that was where we took this photo. Poor little boy was subjected to a Christmas penguin outfit and this was about the only smile we got out of him while he had the hat on. It is one of my favourite photos of him; a sign of the mischief yet to come!
This year it seems so much easier and I love seeing Lucas enjoy the festive period. Looking back at last years photos I had all kinds of Christmas sleepsuits and t-shirts for him; I haven’t got any yet this year! I know his first Christmas will always be special but I’m looking forward to the many to come and the fun we will have as he gets older.

Christmas is so much better as they get older and they understand. We’re on our second year of Charles understanding and it’s amazing.

Ha, I think you are right Jenny but it will probably be mostly playing with boxes and wrapping! The gifts will be explored a few days later xx
